Week 1 wasn’t pretty for the New York Football Giants.
Brian Daboll’s team was blown out of the water by the Dallas Cowboys, losing 40-0 on “Sunday Night Football.”
The Giants went into the game as 3.5-point underdogs, so a win wasn’t exactly expected, but a drubbing of that proportion put oddsmakers on notice., the Giants are now +8000 to win the title, tied for the 21st-best odds with the Rams and Raiders. The sportsbooks also cut the team’s playoff odds after the loss and wins by all three NFC East competitors.
They’re now in long shot range at +340 to play postseason football, and +2000 – the worst odds in the division – to win the NFC East.Their odds to win the NFC dropped from +2500 to +3500, which are the seventh-worst odds in the conference.
