New York Giants RT Jermaine Eluemunor says he shut down T.J. Watt despite allowing two sacks.

Watt’s stat line and performance against the New York Giants were sterling. He had six pressures, two sacks, and a critical strip sack that allowed thesaid before the game that he wanted to be left on an island with Watt. On the critical strip sack, he was left on an island, and Watt took advantage.
“I was on an island with him for a majority of the game. And he didn‘t do a damn thing. I’m not gonna sit here and fricking sing his praises,” Eluemunor said on WFAN Radio. “He didn’t do anything for three-and-half quarters and had one impact play.” Watt was chipped at least half of the time, and Eluemunor was rarely on an island. Even in the play where Watt made the strip sack where he was left on an island, Giants head coach Brian Daboll revealed that Eluemunor was supposed to get chip help, but quarterback Daniel Jones failed to call out that protection.
Either way, Eluemunor allowed Watt to have his usual impact in a game. Watt continues to put together a strong candidacy for Defensive Player of the Year the more that he plays and makes an impact on games.
