"Right now, it's just this Sunday," defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence II said when asked if the team could potentially go on a run toward returning to the playoffs for a second straight year if they beat the Washington Commanders this weekend.Lawrence, who has made no secret that the losing is draining, believes that if the Giants can get a much-needed win against a Commanders team they've historically had success against, that will be a step in the right direction.
To that end, he's not worried about the numbers or lack thereof, such as the fact that the Giants defense is at or near the bottom of the league in sacks , run defense , red zone , and points difference .
