The Giants’ bullpen combined to allow one run over 5 2/3 innings after starter Alex Cobb lasted just 3 1/3. Cobb matched a career high with five walks and surrendered two runs before being removed in the fourth. "The bullpen in general just did a fantastic job picking us up tonight," San Francisco manager Gabe Kapler said. "And we certainly needed it.""Wheeler pitched great," Phillies manager Rob Thomson said. "He pitched better than his line, for sure."
