Colorado is making some changes.
Colorado head coach Deion Sanders is turning to a former NFL coach with a less-than-stellar track record to improve his team’s offense.After a 3-0 start, Colorado has lost four of its last five games and the offense has not moved the ball as effectively.
Shurmur went 9-23 as the Giants’ head coach in 2018-19. He has a career 19-46 record, and his history with offenses has been spotty, to say the least. In his 13 seasons as offensive coordinator or head coach, his offense has ranked top 10 three times — in 2013 and 2014 with the Philadelphia Eagles and 2017 with the Minnesota Vikings.
