After Juan Soto signed with the New York Mets, all eyes shifted to Corbin Burnes, the coveted prize in the starting pitching market.There have been reports about numerous teams being in the mix, including the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles. However, two other teams have emerged as the frontrunners for the 2021 NL Cy Young winner.
The Giants are still in search of their Blake Snell replacement after he left in free agency for the Los Angeles Dodgers. On the other hand, the Blue Jays are looking for someone to complement their current rotation of Kevin Gausman, Chris Bassitt and Jose Berrios.Burnes' market value is currently listed at $30.6 million per year. Feinsand added there is speculation the deal for Burnes may exceed $245 million.It is important to note that Burnes is from Bakersfield, Calif.
