Judge Paula Nykiel, in her ninth year judging the prestigious event, faced the challenging task of selecting the ultimate champion from this remarkable pack. Before crowning Monty, Nykiel spent the first two days of the competition observing and evaluating the competitors. She described the experience as both 'wonderful' and 'difficult,' acknowledging the exceptional talent on display. The runner-up, Bourbon the Whippet, made a remarkable comeback at the age of nine, emerging from retirement to represent the Hound Group. Bourbon not only secured the Reserve Best in Show title but also triumphed within his group, demonstrating his enduring prowess.
