What on Earth is going on here...
A giant Aldi 'bucket hat tram' has been spotted in Blackpool as the supermarket 'takes over the seaside town' to launch its new festival range.
Aldi's latest tongue-in-cheek ad campaign sees a huge bucket hat travelling down the Promenade, and a humongous pair of sliders on the beach and even some brand new Illuminations with the shop's logo. But all is not quite what is seems. The budget supermarket is set to launch its Aldimania clothing range which is inspired by music festivals. The collection, which launches on Sunday and is expected to sell-out quickly, features colourful and wacky-patterned bucket hats, slogan t-shirts and Aldi-branded sliders. To help spread the word of their exclusive SpecialBuys range, Aldi has released a cheeky - yet genius - advertising campaign starring Lancashire's own seaside paradise, Blackpool.
The ads, which have been posted on the supermarket chain's social media channels, features a giant pair of festival sliders on the beach in front of Blackpool Tower with the caption "new attraction on the Pleasure Beach, in store Sunday." But yes, sadly it's all just a bit of clever photoshop editing.Prices in the Aldimania clothing range start at £4.
