Ghana Revenue Authority has dropped the multi-billion rand tax claim on MTN.
The Ghana Revenue Authority has withdrawn a R13 billion tax claim against Africa’s biggest telecom company MTN.
MTN, in the past few weeks, has been negotiating with Ghanaian authorities after being hit with a R13 billion tax assessment by the GRA last month. The audit was “to give assurance on the reliability and completeness of revenues declared by MTN Ghana for the purposes of calculating taxes”, says Ralph Mupita, MTN Group CEO.
