Join the Golden Retriever fun at the annual Goldens in Golden event on February 8th!
Attention all Golden Retrievers and their humans! Get ready for the paw-some event of the year, Golden s in Golden , happening this Saturday, February 8th! I'm Mozzarella, your resident Golden Retriever reporter, and I've been sniffing out all the juicy details. Prepare for a day filled with tail wags, happy barks, and endless opportunities to make new furry friends.
Washington Avenue will be transformed into a dog-friendly paradise from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, closing to cars and opening to a sea of gold. Imagine block after block lined with our fellow Golden Retrievers, all eager to greet each other and explore. Don't forget your best bandana because there will be plenty of opportunities to capture the perfect Golden moment. We'll be gathering under the iconic 'Welcome to Golden' arch for official group photos at 11:30 AM, noon, and 12:30 PM. Just make sure to only attend one photo session so all pups get a chance to shine.Parfet Park will be the ultimate hangout spot for us furry friends. Think of it as a grand Golden Retriever reunion, complete with vendors offering delicious treats for us and our humans. Rumors are swirling about free pup cups and giveaways, so be sure to keep your puppy-dog eyes peeled! There will also be official Goldens in Golden merchandise available, with proceeds benefiting the Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies and Foothills Animal Shelter. So you can look good while doing good! The fun doesn't stop on Saturday! Many local businesses are joining the celebration with special events and promotions throughout the weekend. I've heard whispers of pre-parties, after-parties, and even Golden Retriever-themed art! Be sure to check vistitgolden.com for parking information and get ready to see a sea of Golden Retrievers as you drive into town. Remember to keep your humans on a leash (for their own safety, of course) and please, have your parents clean up after you. Most importantly, come ready to have a Golden-tastic time!
