Exclusive: SpiderManAcrossTheSpiderVerse and Hawkeye star Hailee Steinfeld shares the advice Gwen Stacy would give Kate Bishop about heroism:
Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse and Hawkeye star Hailee Steinfeld reveals the advice Gwen Stacy would give to Kate Bishop about being a superhero. When Gwen Stacy was introduced in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, she had been a hero on her own Earth for a while before helping to mentor Miles as he struggles with the decision to step up and become Spider-Man. Kate Bishop, on the other hand, has wanted to be an Avenger since she was a child.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Screen Rant caught up with Steinfeld at the world premiere of Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse to discuss her character, Gwen Stacy. Steinfeld plays both Marvel heroes, Gwen Stacy and Kate Bishop, and shared the hilarious advice that the former would give to the latter. Check out Steinfeld's quote below:
Hailee Steinfeld: Get it together! Stay focused, move quick, and don't forget to have fun, of course. What Kate Bishop Could Learn From Gwen Stacy About Being A Superhero While Peter B. Parker was Miles Morales' main mentor in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, Gwen Stacy was an important part of his journey as a hero too. She helped him gain confidence and find the power within to don the mask. While Kate Bishop doesn't struggle with whether she wants to be a hero, she does stumble in her early attempts to walk in the footsteps of Clint Barton.
If Kate is going to become the new Hawkeye, stepping into Clint Barton's role, she will need to carry herself with an earned confidence instead of the excited cockiness that surrounded her in Hawkeye. The Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse star's advice from Gwen Stacy to Kate Bishop could be exactly what the young hero needs if she is going to be a leader, especially as a hero without powers among the superpowered.
