/Gray News) — Video caught the moment players and adults at a Little League baseball game in Louisiana ran for cover after hearing gunshots near the field. Officials say the shooting happened around noon Saturday, March 7, on Old Hermitage Parkway near General Jackson Avenue.
In a video sent to WAFB, you can hear what sounds like two shots fired, followed by someone saying, “What is happening?”The video was recorded on a “GameChanger” camera for personal rewatch or streaming. In the video, you see the young players on the field scatter in every direction, unsure where to go. The adults on the field, likely coaches and umpires, ran off alongside them. According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, a man was injured during the shooting on Old Hermitage Parkway. Deputies said the man was rushed to a hospital in serious condition and later died from his injuries. Detectives are still trying to identify the man and locate any family members.
