🧐 Germany manager Hansi Flick has reacted to 17-year-old African-born wonderkid Youssoufa Moukoko's senior debut ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. SLInt MORE:
The 2014 world champions defeated Oman 1-0 in an international friendly on Wednesday in preparation for the showpiece in Qatar, with Borussia Dortmund's promising young striker handed his full debut.
Moukoko, who will turn 18 before the tournament begins, had only ever represented Germany at youth level prior to Wednesday as he struggled to make an impact on the game before being replaced in the second half. Flick has suggested he was not concerned by what he saw from the Cameroon-born forward, who became the youngest Bundesliga player in history in November 2020. "But you also need players around you who shape. He’s young, he’ll be 18 in the next few days."Give him the time he needs. We want to support him in this."
Moukoko broke several records coming through the ranks at BVB, scoring 90 goals in just 56 matches for the club's U17 side.
