German prosecutors said they arrested former Wirecard CEO Markus Braun for a second time and arrested several other current and former top executives
BERLIN—German prosecutors Wednesday said they arrested former Wirecard AG Chief Executive Markus Braun for a second time and arrested several other current and former top executives they suspect colluded in inflating the company’s results with fake income since 2015.
Munich city prosecutors obtained witness testimonies and documents that led them to expand the accusations against the former Wirecard executives, said the spokeswoman for the prosecutor’s office, Anne Leiding.
