An axe-wielding man has been shot by police in Hamburg , Germany, after he allegedly threatened officers.Police say a major operation is currently underway in St Pauli, just hours before a Euro 2024 soccer game between the Netherlands and Poland.
Local police said the man is currently receiving medial treatment following the incident in St Pauli which is near a fan zone for supporters of the Netherlands, the BBC reports.A police statement said the attacker also threatened police officers with an incendiary device before they discharged firearms.
