KUALA LUMPUR: The august House was left in shock when doctors were ordered to examine Gerik MP Fathul Huzir Ayob after he suffered some speech difficulties during his debates in Parliament.
The MP started his speech in a normal manner but could be seen becoming physically uncomfortable about five minutes into his debates.
He was touching on several matters on rural development, inflation and border issues affecting roads in Gerik when he appeared distressed.He continued with his speech but began covering his mouth with his right hand while slurring some of his words.He then took a short breather before several MPs, including Bayan Baru MP Sim Tze Tzin, asked whether he was alright.Fathul Huzir apologised, saying that he was being too emotional and proceeded to deliver his speech while untying his necktie.
