The community of Winder, Georgia, is reeling after four people were fatally shot and nine others were injured by a 14-year-old at Apalachee High School. The FBI says it received several anonymous tips about an online threat to commit a school shooting in 2023. NBC’s Priya Sridhar reports for TODAY.

He would have been given a physical and mental evaluation when he arrived, spokesman Glenn Allen told NBC News this morning. The suspect had never been placed at any Georgia Department of Correction facility prior to this incident, Allen said.
