Georgia Hall, off to a fast start this season, is looking for a second major to go with...
Georgia Hall’s win in one of the LPGA Tour’s five majors came in her home country, capturing the 2018 Women’s British Open at Royal Lytham in England.
Now at age 27, Hall would like to add to her collection of wins in majors. The LPGA’s first major of the season is this week's Chevron Championship to be played for the first time in The Woodlands at The Club at Carlton Woods. “I’d love to get that. That’s the goal. I have goals to start the year. I think it’s important to do so but also take one tournament at a time and see where you are at the end of the year. One of them was by the middle of the year to get in the top 10, and I’ve done that within three or four events.”
On March 30, Hall finished second at 14 under by one shot to Yin Ruoning at the DIO Implant LA Open. The week prior at the LPGA Drive On Championship at Superstition Mountain in Gold Canyon, Ariz., Hall finished 20 under before losing a playoff to Celine Boutier, a former Solheim Cup teammate. In closing with a final-round 65, Hall carded seven birdies and an eagle.
