The Georgia Republican Party has expelled former Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan for allegedly violating his 'oath of allegiance' to the party. The party accuses Duncan of supporting Democratic candidates, falsely claiming endorsements from Donald Trump, and lying about his academic and athletic achievements.

“Duncan’s single term as Lieutenant Governor was marred by embarrassment and scandal,” the release reads. “In the final months of his term as Lieutenant Governor, Duncan sought openly to undermine and sabotage the candidacy of Burt Jones, the Republican nominee to succeed him as Lieutenant Governor, and in doing so, gave aid to the Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor and violated his oath of allegiance to the Republican Party.
The release closes by officially expelling Duncan from the party and demanding he stop referring to himself as a Republican.Hard to believe this is a good use of time for a party that’s only got a limited amount of time to figure out mass deportations, world peace and global tariffs,” he jeered.
