The Georgia Court of Appeals has ruled that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her office cannot continue prosecuting the Georgia election interference case involving President-elect Donald Trump due to a conflict of interest. The court declined to dismiss the case itself, and Willis's office plans to appeal to the Georgia Supreme Court. That prosecutor would have the discretion to decide whether to continue the case. Fulton Superior Judge Scott McAfee ruled in March that Willis' romantic relationship with Wade created the appearance of a conflict of interest, but did not require her disqualification.
