Georgie Windie, 41, will serve at least 13 months in jail after giving the 12-year-old girl alcohol and sexually assaulting her at an abandoned motel in Geraldton.
A Geraldton man convicted of indecently dealing with a child under the age of 13 has been sentenced to at least 13 months in prison.
George Edward Albert Windie faced the Geraldton District Court on Monday on two counts of indecently dealing with a child under 13 in circumstances of aggravation. The court heard the trio walked to the foreshore and that the girl was given enough alcohol to the point that she was unable to walk unaided.The court heard Windie removed the victim's clothing, leaving her in her bra and pants, and touched her breasts.
The former Batavia Motor Inn became derelict more than a decade ago after its foreign owners went into administration. Windie pleaded guilty to both charges and was sentenced to a maximum of more than two years behind bars. "You took advantage of her when you knew she had consumed alcohol and was virtually incapable," he said.
