Six first-term Republicans from New York plan to introduce a resolution to expel Rep. George Santos from the House of Representatives. Federal prosecutors introduced 10 new charges against Santos on Tuesday, including wire fraud, credit card fraud, and identity theft — adding to the 13 fraud-related changes he already faced. Santos denied “every last bit of charges,” rejected the idea of a plea deal, and pledged to run for reelection in 2024.

George Santos. “Right now, we’re focused on removing him from Congress,” D’Esposito told reporters when asked whether Republicans would remove Santos from their conference before kicking him out of office. The resolution, led by Rep. Anthony D’Esposito , is cosponsored by every GOP freshman member from New York. They are Reps. Nick LaLota, Mike Lawler, Marc Molinaro, Nick Langworthy and Brandon Williams.
