JUST IN: Head of North Central University announces the establishment of a George Floyd Memorial Scholarship. 'I am now challenging every university president in the United States of America to establish your own George Floyd Memorial Scholarship Fund.'
It was just over a week ago that Floyd's death was caught on camera and sparked nationwide outrage. He encouraged all university presidents to establish a scholarship in Floyd's name to invest"like never before in a new generation of young black Americans who are poised and ready to take leadership of our nation."
Later in the ceremony, Sharpton will deliver a"national eulogy," and attorney Benjamin Crump, who's representing the Floyd family, will deliver a"national criminal justice address."
