The popular video game horror franchise is returning in a new type of format that lets the audience choose the outcome
That means it’s not going to be a survivor horror video game with a psychological slant. It’s more of a story-driven show, in which the audience has a hand in determining the fate of each character. The way Genvid describes it almost sounds like a Telltale game except it’s played by a large audience.
“Silent Hill: Ascension” will feature multiple main characters, new monsters and new locations, and it will focus on intergenerational trauma. One of the elements that developer is emphasizing is that this chapter will be considered canon. In effect, the audience will have a hand in how the “Silent Hill” universe will be shaped just by participating. The interactive streaming project will begin later this year. From the initial trailer, the experience looks creepy enough.
