The Seahawks’ preseason finale will see starters in action against Cleveland.
The Seattle Seahawks’ only home game of preseason will have starters in action on both sides of the ball. Head coach Mike Macdonald confirmed his plans following Thursday’s media availability session. This means that both the Seahawks and Cleveland Browns should have first-team players for at least a brief portion of Saturday’s game. “The plan is you’ll see a lot of starters to start the game,” Macdonald said. “How many reps and all that it kind of on a per person type basis.
On offense, backup running back Zach Charbonnet and Jaxon Smith-Njigba were among the first-team regulars who played, but that was similarly brief. It was almost exclusively backups for the entirety of the Week 2 game against the Tennessee Titans, albeit with the caveat that the starters took part in joint practices earlier in the week.
