James Cleverly has been accused of lying after warning that Labour's immigration policy would open the door to 100,000 migrants from Europe. Cleverly says the UK has always been a generous country to those who play by the rules, and"we will always be that." Cleverly responded claiming when he introduced visa restrictions such as a raising the minimum salary threshold and restricting foreign students bringing family members when they come to the UK"that Labour criticised that every one of those measures".

He says they will return people to their countries if they are safe and Rwanda if not. He says Labour needs to explain where they will send people from Iran and Afghanistan, where return agreements are impossible.
