This moment, which came early on in the season, is tiny, but it confirms that The Boys set up Gen V, and furthermore, that the shows are much closer to each other than previously thought.

While Gen V has many cameos and references to The Boys, their worlds are still quite separate. However, because Hughie stole data from the Red River Institute, that means he has Marie's file.
