Gen.G Esports successfully defended their League of Legends Championship Korea Championship against the goliaths of T1 last April 9th, 2023.

T1 dominated the entire regular season – they finished first with a staggering 17-1 win record, miles ahead of Gen.G at second with 13-5. Going into the LCK Spring 2023 playoffs, Gen.G and T1 first faced off in the Upper Bracket Final and it went T1’s way. Meanwhile, Gen.G had to face KT Rolster in the Lower Bracket Final to get a chance to defend their title.The Grand Final did not go as many envisioned. T1’s dominant season plus the fact that they already beat Gen.
