Ricardo Hallman saw it all the way. The Wisconsin defensive back jumped the route, intercepted the pass and returned it 95 yards for the touchdown that would prove to be the dagger in a 24-13 loss for the Scarlet Knights. Wimsatt finished with 165 yards, a touchdown and an interception on 15-of-34 passing , and 43 yards on eight non-sack carries. He converted some big plays, including a 30-yard pass to tight end Johnny Langan, a 26-yard completion to Jackson and a 21-yard scramble. But his performance was marred by the back-breaking interception, other errant throws that could have been picked off and a handful of passes that went well wide of the mark.
Put it all together and it explains a rough day for the Rutgers offense, which had more three-and-outs than third-down conversions , went inside the Wisconsin 40-yard line on just four of its 13 drives and scored just once.
