The Explorers scored 38 unanswered points in a 45-7 win at Severance Field on Saturday.
HARRISBURG — Harrisburg has mounted immense hype heading into the 2024 high school football season. Packed to the gills with nationally-ranked talent and boasting one of the most star-studded backfields in Pennsylvania, the pursuit of a fourth straight District 3 Class 6A title and return to the PIAA final has been the expectation.
But the Cougars were hit with the unexpected – a 45-7 drubbing at the hands of La Salle College High School in Saturday’s season-opener. The perennial power out of District 12′s Philadelphia Catholic League started fast and finished strong through four quarters of eye-popping moxie and execution.
