Gov GavinNewsom will sit for an interview with SeanHannity at 9 pm on June 12, marking his first interview on FoxNews in more than a decade. The interview will take place in Sacramento, California.
Fox News announced on Thursday that the governor will be interviewed by Hannity in Sacramento, California, this month. The interview will air during Hannity at 9 p.m. on June 12.The men will discuss a variety of topics, including immigration, the economy, the 2024 presidential election, and Newsom's proposal for a 28th Amendment that he claims would enshrine gun safety measures into the Constitution.
Newsom's proposed 28th Amendment would make the federal minimum age to purchase a firearm 21 years old, mandate universal background checks, institute a waiting period, and ban the purchase of"assault weapons." The California governor has been a vocal critic of Fox News, saying earlier this year,"It’s a disgrace. It’s a disgrace what these people say every single night — their xenophobia, their racial priming, what they have done to perpetuate crime and violence in his country by scapegoating and by not doing a damn thing about gun safety for decades.”
The announcement of his Fox News appearance comes after Newsom's feud with Gov. Ron DeSantis was elevated last week. Following the arrival of more than a dozen immigrants to California's capital by plane from Florida, Newsom called the 2024 presidential candidate a"small, pathetic man" and threatened him with kidnapping charges.
Fox News will also be airing an interview with former President Donald Trump on June 19 at 6 p.m. during Special Report with Bret Baier.
