Gavin Newsom says Ron DeSantis 'going to get by rolled' by Trump in 2024
Gov. Gavin Newsom threw jabs at Gov. Ron DeSantis , saying the Florida governor looked"weak" in his response to the indictment of former President Donald Trump by a Manhattan grand jury.
The California governor also said that DeSantis is going to get"rolled" by Trump in the Republican primary in 2024 and that he should"wait a few years" and focus on governing the Sunshine State. Newsom then listed off some areas where DeSantis could improve his governing, including the high cost of living in the state.
Newsom has long been a vocal opponent of DeSantis, who is seen as a likely Republican presidential contender for 2024.
