President Trump greets Gov. Newsom after landing in LA to survey fire damage
Gov. Gavin Newsom showed up uninvited to greet President Trump as he exited Air Force One in Los Angeles Friday — trying to upstage his tour and beg for money after the devastating firefighters.
“I appreciate the governor coming out and meeting me,” Trump told reporters on the tarmac. “We want to get it fixed.” “You got hit by a bomb,” Trump said — likening the scenes of wildfires to the devastation of World War II. “Most importantly, thank you for being here,” Newsom told Trump. “We’re going to need your support. We’re going to need your help.”Obama cheered while dining alone at DC restaurant as wild unfounded Jennifer Aniston romance rumors swirlTrump earlier Friday suggested that federal aid to rebuild would have a “condition” of state legislators first requiring IDs to vote in the state, a threat that Newsom did not address in front of cameras.
