Gauteng MEC Matome Chiloane has announced the Gauteng 2025 online admissions application period for Grade 1 and Grade 8.

Chiloane reassured parents that the process will still be timely for school placements.Parents and guardians with children entering Grade 1 and Grade 8 in 2025 must apply online, regardless of their application history. Chiloane clarified, “You start afresh every year for every child, whether it’s Grade 1 or Grade 8.
The application process is exclusively for these two grades, and parents are reminded that applications for other grades will not be considered during this period.Applications can be completed using any computer device or smartphone. For those without access to such devices, there are 80 decentralized walk-in centres and any public school available for assistance.
