, is just that: a generous, joyous assemblage of all-star Texas hits: oysters, fried chicken, campechana, gumbo, po’boys, fried catfish, and enchiladas.
Indeed, some of the dishes were incubated as specials at Gatlin’s at 3510 Ella, and already have his fans’ stamp of approval. But there’s so much more at play at Fins & Feathers. Diners can begin their chowdown with freshly shucked oysters or char-grilled oysters bubbling with garlic herb butter and parmesan. Or perhaps shrimp and crab campechana, New Orleans-inspired barbecue shrimp, or “Everything Gumbo” bringing together chicken, shrimp, crab, smoked sausage and okra in a dark roux.
For dessert: pecan pie, apple pie, cheesecake, and a Dreamsicle donut. Wine, beer, and champagne also offered.
