The Alaska State Fair officially opened Friday and runs through Sept. 2. The fair is open Thursdays through Mondays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The fairgrounds will close early on Labor Day at 8 a.m.
PALMER, Alaska - The sound of rides roaring and the smell of fair food is back as the Alaska State Fair officially opened to the public Friday.
“So many memories coming here when I was a kid doing this stuff and now I get to do it with my daughter, it’s awesome,” Mahle said.
