As much as some will argue there is a lack of quality in the UK when it comes to Premier League coverage, few pundits provide better analysis on a weekend than Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher.
"Have you imagined what is going on inside that whole football department at this moment in time? In and around Erik ten Hag. It is toxic and embedded negativity. Neville's argument though was instantly dismissed by Carragher who saw it as nothing more than the ex-United captain having an axe to grind with the current regime. The former Liverpool defender purposefully misinterpreted the point made by Neville and twisted it to suggest Erik ten Hag was immune from criticism, in the co-commentator's eyes.
The only constant in this time has been the Glazers. And yes, while it is not Joel and Avram Glazer at fault for failing to pick up Erling Haaland at the back post, they must take the blame for the environment that squashes confidence so readily.
