Headey put her all into the moment, lending a vulnerability and fear to the widowed queen that countered her usual icy smug, but the circumstances of her character’s death—as well as Jaime’s—were a far cry from the theatrical vindication fans had envisioned. The same was evidently true for Headey, who told“I invested as a viewer and I have my favourite characters. And I’ve got a few of my own gripes. But I haven’t sat down drunkly with David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss] yet,” she noted.
