During The Game Awards 2024 presentation, Netmarble released the first official Game of Thrones: Kingsroad trailer.
The Game of Thrones: Kingsroad trailer highlights the story set in the upcoming game. Following the death of King Robert Baratheon, the fight for the Iron Throne is on. In the game, players will forge their path trying to survive in the world of Westeros, navigating the politics and combat that comes with the territory.
Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is set to release on mobile devices sometime in 2025, with other platforms to be determined at a later date.Players will be able to select one of three classes, the knight, sellsword, or assassin. Each will offer its own specific style of play and will all feature different archetypes. Sellsword and knights, like the ones found in the trailer, use their swords to attack, with differing styles, while the assassin dual-wields daggers and is more agile.
“In Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, you will embark on a journey to restore your house’s legacy, forging alliances through trials and betrayals while navigating a realm rife with intrigue, danger, and opportunity,” reads the game’s official description. “The game’s original storyline expands on that of the legendary TV series, allowing you to forge your own path amidst the power struggles of noble houses and the looming threat of what lies beyond the Wall.
