As Kaizer Chiefs prepare to start next season with a new technical sponsor, Soccer Laduma looks back on the previous Amakhosi kits, as their relationship with Nike comes to an end this term. Amakhosi had a relationship of over 20 years with Nike, but the club confirmed last week that the side has partnered with Italian brand Kappa from the 2023/24 season.
There was one kit, in particular, which earned Amakhosi the nickname 'zebras' with the lines running across the jersey. Chiefs, in fact, won the league title with that jersey under former coach Stuart Baxter in 2012/13.Former Amakhosi striker Kenny Niemach in 2001. Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Derrick Spencer in the away kit in 2004.
