The Galaxy have won two of the first three meetings this season against LAFC (league, U.S. Open Cup) and will be looking to wrap up the season series with another win Saturday.
“It means a lot,” Boyd said of the rivalry. “I think it means a lot to the fans as well. Every time we play against them we try to fight hard, make our fans proud. It’s a huge game. I think it’s biggest rivalry that we have.”
. Riqui Puig, who just like Boyd, has also made himself comfortable in the series, had a goal and an assist to highlight the night. “For Tyler, when he’s making the right runs at the right times through the right channels, he’s a handful because he creates space for himself and he’s able to face forward from shooting range which he has a very good finish.
