Galaxy sends midfielder Jose ‘Memo’ Rodriguez and a guaranteed $300,000 in General Allocation Money to Austin FC
The Galaxy has been limited in its summer moves due to the Secondary Transfer Window ban imposed by Major League Soccer as a result of roster violations during the 2019 season.
The Galaxy sent midfielder Jose “Memo” Rodriguez and a guaranteed $300,000 in General Allocation Money to Austin FC. The Galaxy could receive $150,000 in GAM if Rodriguez reaches “certain performance metrics.” Austin would get up to $600,000 in GAM if Fagundez reaches certain metrics. Fagundez signed a three-year contract with Austin FC with a club option through the 2026 season in February. According to the MLS Players Association salary guide, he is making $1.06 million this season.
