Gabriel Macht, former star of the popular TV series 'Suits,' has relocated his family to Europe but is keeping the exact location a secret. Macht, who played the charismatic lawyer Harvey Specter, decided to prioritize his family and explore the world after a long break from acting. He will be reprising his role in the reboot, 'Suits LA.'
Gabriel Macht , known for his role as Harvey Specter in the hit legal drama ' Suits ,' has chosen to keep his current life under wraps. In a recent interview with People, the 53-year-old actor revealed that he and his family have relocated from the United States to a undisclosed location in Europe. 'I am based somewhere in Europe, but I don't tell anybody where I live because I like to keep that under wraps,' Macht shared. 'I got out of town and we're exploring the world.
' Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Macht and his wife, Jacinda Barrett, had aspirations to homeschool their children. However, being 'stuck' in Manhattan during the pandemic changed their perspective. 'That just wasn’t doing it for us,' Macht admitted. This realization led them to make a significant life change. 'We decided to explore the world, so we left,' Macht explained. Macht and Barrett first met in 2000 on a blind date and were married in a private ceremony in 2004. They are parents to daughter Satine, 17, and son Luca, 10. Following nine seasons of 'Suits,' Macht took a break from acting, stating he had 'very little interest' in taking on new projects. He prioritized raising his children and exploring other ventures. Macht is set to reprise his role as Harvey Specter in the 'Suits LA' reboot. He explained that returning to the role made 'sense' for his family at this time, allowing him to 'sort of pass the baton to Stephen and the cast in L.A.' The 'Suits' cast, including Macht, Patrick J. Adams, Sarah Rafferty, and Gina Torres, reunited at the 2024 Golden Globes to announce the winner of the best television drama category. Notably absent was Meghan Markle, who left the show in its eighth season after her engagement to Prince Harry. While Torres expressed excitement about the reunion, she subtly alluded to Markle's absence by stating, 'We don’t have her number. We just don’t. So, she’ll see. She’ll watch. She’ll be happy that we’re here.' Entertainment Tonight reported that Markle was invited but unable to attend due to a 'preexisting commitment.
