Andy Moran has stepped down as manager of Leitrim after a tenure spanning three years, a departure he describes as "with a heavy heart".
This year, Moran also took the helm of the Leitrim under-20s, achieving a memorable Connacht Championship victory against Mayo. Leitrim GAA conveyed Moran's sentiments in an official statement: "It's with a heavy heart that I leave the role but feel it's the right thing to do at this time. While expressing regret over the conclusion of Moran's stint, Leitrim glowing in their praise of the former Mayo star, who will likely be a strong contender for a managerial position in his home county in the future. The official statement from Leitrim declared: "Leitrim GAA Management Committee is unequivocal in stating that the working relationship we have shared over the past three years has been tremendous.
