.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told reporters that all leaders on the call realized the need to coordinate on science and public health measures around the pandemic and share information on vaccine developments and treatments.
Some leaders expressed understanding for Trump’s frustration with the initial handling of the virus outbreak, which began at the end of last year in the Chinese province of Hubei and spread from there across the globe. But they called for a thorough investigation instead of rash action. “We ought to look at all sides of this and do it in a balanced way but there’s no doubt we can’t have business as usual after this crisis and we’ll have to ask the hard questions about how it came about and how it couldn’t have been stopped earlier,” Raab added.
