In hisbefore he died in 2019 from an accidental overdose of oxycodone and codeine — told him his music inspired him to try lean as a child. “When he told me that, I was like ‘Oh sh–. What the f–k have I done?'” It really bothered me. It bothered me a lot. More than that I thought it would bother me when he told me that,” he said at the time. “I wasn’t aware of that influence, but now I’m aware of how much it influenced. It’s like, this sh– really f–ked me up for a minute.
