GM has seemingly picked a side in the eternal battle between iOS and Android, and, well, sorry Apple folks.
So why would GM stick its nose into the fight? The short answer is: money."We do believe there are subscription revenue opportunities for us," GM chief digital officer Edward Kummer said to Reuters. When using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, users side step numerous opportunities for OEMs to charge them for the same features that their smartphones supply for free.
