Neighbours say it is a 'nightmare'
Neighbours have voiced their frustration over new parking measures that have turned a residential road into a 'racetrack'. Double yellow lines were painted in Mile End Road, next to Colwick Country Park, after complaints over "dangerous" parking at junctions surrounding the park last year.
"Nobody can come and visit me anymore. Drivers are speeding on the road quicker than before because of the double lines."We all knew that people were coming to the park during lockdown, they had nothing else to do. But we all knew that it was going to be temporary.Ian Wilson, also a neighbour in the area, has echoed the concerns over speeding on the road. He added: "I think that parking seems to be better.
"I think it used to happen last year because people did not have anything else to do. It is not that bad anymore."
