People are not happy
Rugby fans were left fuming after ITV cut the Six Nations trophy ceremony in half to show the start of Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.
Ireland defeated England to win the Six Nations tournament, but as the trophy ceremony got underway, it was cut in half by ITV. The channel then switched to Saturday Night Takeaway, which was being held 15 minutes later than normal, at 7.15pm. Fans of the sport were left angry. @JDBWright91 tweeted: "Scheduling blunder there from ITV. As much as I enjoy Saturday Night Takeaway, I'm sure it could have easily waited for another 5-10 mins to allow ITV1 viewers to see Ireland lift the trophy.
@fobl11 said: "F*** ITV. Going to Saturday night takeaway during the trophy ceremony. Cheers!" Meanwhile @glove931 said: ITV cutting away before the trophy presentation to show Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway is very ITV." However, there were also a few complaints from Ant and Dec fans about the delay to the show. @lindarowe34 said: "where the hell is it?? i’ve been excited ALL DAY and it’s on now at 7:15pm, absolutely ridiculous! put the rugby on itv3."
