Tom Boyd reckons Rodgers would be in Michael Beale's shoes if the roles were reversed at the weekend but has some breathing room thanks to Celtic's win.
But Tom Boyd is quick to remind the Celtic boss it could all have been different if Sunday's derby went the other way - and those 'bragging rights' won't last forever unless they make the early advantage count. Rodgers and Beale went toe to toe for the first time at the weekend and it was the Hoops who edged it to open up a four-point gap at the top of the Premiership.
Rangers have already lost twice in the league and their Champions League drubbing against PSV means they will have to settle for Europa League football this season. But while it's Beale feeling the heat, former Parkhead skipper Boyd believes it could so easily have gone the other way. And he reckons his old team need to make it count by putting their foot to the floor when the season resumes in two weeks' time.
